In this drag race, we got the Shelby F-150 Super Snake to go up against a Monster Pro Lite – a lightweight racing truck! Let’s take a look at the stats for both – first off, the Shelby F-150 Super Snake. Based on a Ford F-150, it has a 5.0-litre supercharged V8 that develops 770hp and 868Nm of torque. That power is sent to all four wheels by a 10-speed automatic transmission, but it does weigh a hefty 2,198kg. This model is from 2021 and costs £105,000. At the other end of the scale, the Monster Pro Lite trophy truck weighs just 1,400kg – less than a Porsche 911 – and costs around £30,000. It packs quite a punch though, with the small block V8 from Ford putting out 450hp and is paired to a 3-speed semi-automatic transmission sending the power to the rear wheels. While the Super Snake has all the power figures in its favour, the Monster Pro Lite is stripped out and could spring a surprise on the monstrous F-150.
