After “outing” my daughter’s (Alexandria) first concert experience to the world, Linkin Park at iTunes Festival London 2011, she has been encouraging to find a video of my first concert as teenager. The answer from me, “That was a long time ago, probably no videos left from that time” Held up until she asked my dear own mother if she remembered my first concert. Well mom spilled the beans. Mom told her how, “I only wanted one thing for my birthday that year, and it was concert tickets to this show.” So ya, mom “outed” me, karma right. So, I fessed up and told my daughter the whole story of that day. When we showed up, my friends that went with and brief accounting of that day. “Anyone that believes that music can’t change your life, has not heard their song” Nerd stuff not found by father. Watching this video with my daughter, I was surprised that she found, on a paused screen, a capture of a teenager that looked related to her father. This caused family photo album’s to be pulled out and inspected. By a vote of 2 to 1 (Mom and daughter) vs me, I conceded defeat, and it was “most likely me” Clincher was when mom pointed out my best friend wearing “clearly cool” TERMINATOR sunglasses standing next to me. With this reaction being done, I ‘m hoping we can return to a “Normal” family again.
