از نخستین روزهایی که در شبکه‌های اجتماعی صفحاتی برای رسانه تخصصی علوم شناختی و مغز ایجاد کردیم یکی از پرسش‌هایی که مکررا برای ما ارسال شده است درباره وضعیت کار و فرصت‌های شغلی مرتبط با علوم شناختی بوده است. خواه از طرف دانش آموختگان این رشته و خواه از طرف افرادی که به این رشته علاقمند شده‌اند و می‌خواهند در ادامه مسیر تحصیلی‌شان گرایش‌هایی از رشته علوم شناختی را برای تحصیلات تکمیلی انتخاب کنند. گفتگو با دکتر سید مهدی خلیق رضوی به عنوان دانش آموخته رشته علوم شناختی و مغز از دانشگاه کمبریج که از دوران تحصیل در مقطع دکتری فرآیند راه اندازی یک کسب و کار را تجربه کرده بود فرصت ارزشمندی بود تا بتوانیم پرسش‌هایی که از مخاطبان دریافت کرده‌ایم را از ایشان بپرسیم. تجربیات ارزشمند ایشان در اکوسیستم نوآوری بوستون در بازه زمانی که دوره پسا دکتری‌شان را در دانشگاه "ام آی تی" می‌گذرانند نیز برای ما مزید علت شده بود که حتما پس از گفتگوی مرتبط با هوش مصنوعی با موضوع از "پژوهش" تا "تاثیر اجتماعی" صحبت‌مان را ادامه دهیم. تجربه تبدیل پژوهش و دانش آکادمیک به محصول و تاثیرگذاری اجتماعی برای دکتر خلیق رضوی محدود به راه اندازی شرکتی در انگلستان نبود و پس از بازگشت به ایران به عنوان مدیر و هم‌بنیان‌گذار نخستین شتابدهنده هوش مصنوعی در ایران با عنوان "همتک" فعالیت‌هایشان را توسعه داده‌اند. بنابراین در ادامه این اپیزود تلاش می‌کنیم درباره وضعیت اکوسیستم نوآوری در ایران و فرصت‌هایی که می‌تواند برای پژوهشگران علوم شناختی برای تجاری‌سازی پژوهش‌هایشان خلق کند نیز گفتگو کنیم.
