在这股改革浪潮里，卡塔里娜于1996年被推进了维塔。作为一个主流社会不想搭理，患者家属努力想要遗忘的社区，维塔的景象比监狱和精神病院更恐怖，这里没有治疗，只有滥用的镇静剂，人的社会属性和康复希望被彻底抹杀，卡塔里娜身体状持续恶化的同时甚至遭到了医护人员的性侵。尽管她在被诊断为精神病的那一刻起就一直尝试摆脱“精神病”的烙印，但她的话被认为是疯言疯语。为了反抗，卡塔里娜写了很多东西，她不写“我不是精神病”，而是直接写下风湿、疼痛、痉挛这些具体词汇，来证明自己得的是躯体疾病。最终，卡塔里娜的所有挣扎没能换来自由，在旁人眼里不过是又一个死在了精神病院的疯女人。维塔有几百个卡塔里娜，阿雷格里港曾经有25家“维塔”，这种类似的机构自1960年代开始，相继在很多国家出现。我们通过巴西去机构化改革这面镜子，可以窥见一部完整的精神病治疗史 #万物研究所 #历史 #抑郁症 #欧洲 #科普 #社会 #精神障碍 #医学 #精神病 #疯子
