近年來租屋族能在實惠的房租裡，找到理想中的房子住，其實很不容易。民國111年，行政院開辦「300億元中央擴大租金補貼專案計畫」，想藉由租金補貼，緩解租屋族的生活壓力，同時掌握租賃市場的有效租約概況。但政策與實務作為，似乎仍存在差距。瀏覽租屋資訊，多的是不可申請租金補貼的附註；我們甚至訪問到一位房客，因為合法申請租金補貼，事後卻被房東要求，賠償房東本人新增的非自用住宅稅金等，明明這都是違法的行為，為何房客仍處於弱勢？在政策衍生對策，還有我國租賃市場，長期透明化不足的情況，政府建置的租賃實價登錄，有沒有參考依據？他國又是如何保障租客權益、調控租金合理性呢?
