He decided to go for a hike on the Middlefork-Pratt River Trail in the Middle Fork Snoqualmie River Valley Wilderness in Snoqualmie National Forest. The trail was hard to follow. Thirty minutes passed, and he realized the trail was gone. He stood there, looking for a way forward, but there was no straight path, no clear direction.
