Mae g'ovannen mellyn nin, a meneg suilaid (well met my friends, and a thousand greetings). Welcome to Tolkien Untangled! I'm Rainbow Dave (before YouTube I was a tie-dye instructor at a summer camp), and the purpose of this channel is to present and explain Tolkien's Legendarium in an accessible way. We'll be looking at the Silmarillion, the Unfinished Tales, and the Complete History of Middle Earth, while of course also drawing information from the much more familiar Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit. Over the course of this channel's lifetime, I intend to go through the entire history of Middle-earth from the very beginning, through all three Ages, and eventually all the way to the end of all things. So whether you're a superfan or a newbie, together we'll explore and untangle the spectacular awesomeness of Professor Tolkien's works!
