Are PNY and Gainward GPUs actually that Bad?

PNY GPUs and their high performance XLR8 models have always been around, they're generally cheaper then MSI, Asus, Gigabyte counterparts and very often even look better. Does that mean they're a good buy? In this video I'm discussing both brands as they share a lot of design and cooling items, the problems I've had with thermals, repadding especially and fans breaking. My overall experience having owned over 230 PNY or Gainward GPUs, from the old GTX 1080 Gainward to the more recent RTX 3090 PNY XLR8 and now onwards to RTX 4000.
