We’re starting with the Mk1 R8 V8 from 2007. It’s powered by a 4.2-litre naturally-aspirated V8 that can produce 414hp and 430Nm. This power is sent to all four wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox, and when new the starting price was just over £78,000. Moving forward to the latest car, we have the R8 GT Mk2. It arrives packing a 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10, and this can put down 620hp and 565Nm. This power is sent to the rear wheels only via a 7-speed automatic gearbox, and as new the car costs a staggering £200,000! In between the two, we’ve got all other generations of R8 - the GT Spyder Mk1, the LMX Mk1, the R8 RWS Mk2, and the R8 Spyder Performance Mk2!
