At the time, the deadliest commercial aviation accident to ever occur unfolded in the skies above the Natural Wonder known as the Grand Canyon. The lives of 128 people were tragically cut short as the wreckage of two different planes were found nestled in various parts of the Grand Canyon. When investigators pieced together the events of the day, they discovered massive oversights, holes in safety and the lack of necessary systems to keep passengers safe.
