3 Best Resets to freshen up your Mercedes Benz Experience 1. Transmission Adaptation Reset 2. Throttle Boddy and idle Learning Reset 3. Mercedes-Benz Battery ECU TCU Reset Hello and welcome to Benz Addiction Todays video is very important because it can easily save you a lot of money and hassle, and basically, you don’t need any tools to perform these resets. And they are absolutely free. So if you have any Mercedes-Benz from 1997 to 2012, with M112, M113, M271, M276 and M111 engines Also if you have any 5 speed 722.6 or 7 speed 722.8 transmissions, keep please watching this video and please share your experience in the comment section with other Benz Owners. The first reset is the transmission reset, if you have recently bought your car or you have never done a reset on your 5 speed or 7 speedsl transmission or you have recently noticed that the shift points are not desired and too early or too late, you should benefit from this reset, basically what this reset does is, set the shift points and throttle response to the factory defaults so it can be le-learned. it is important to note that this reset only resets the self adaptation data in TCU and ECU. 2. Throttle Boddy and idle learning. If you have low or high idle issues or if you have never done this reset on your Mercedes, you can benefit from it and it is really harmless. Leave the ignition in position 2 with all the light on for 3 miin and do not touch any thing you can also at the same time raise the hoodand enjoy the music played by the throttle body which i call it sonata in F minor.... after 3 min you can shut off the ignition remove the key and staet enjoying your newly adapted idle and throttle body. 3. This reset is only recommended if you have more acute transmission and engine issues. It is sometimes called a hard reset too. Definitely this reset is not going to help if you have some sort of hardware problems but the basis over here is that any computer sometimes requires resetting to solve the time to time software, ECU and TCU Glitches. THIS is ususally a last resort if you are for example can't spot the issue and for instance you are going to take your car to a mechanic.
