In this video, I run you through my go-to recipe for how to brew a Clever Coffee Dripper. The Clever Dripper is the perfect upgrade from the French Press. You still get a full-body coffee without the sediment at the bottom of your cup. It's incredibly easy to make and easier to clean up. A breakdown of the method can be found below. We're doing a 1 to 15 ratio 28g of coffee to 420g of water. -Fill your kettle and set it to a boil -Dose 28g of fresh whole bean coffee and grind at a medium-coarse setting (the grounds should appear similar to Kosher Sea Salt) -Fold your filter along the base and side -Pre-heat and rinse the filter using hot water from your kettle -Decant the rinse water into your carafe to pre-heat the carafe -Dose out your 28g of ground coffee into your Clever and tare your scale -Once the water reaches a boil, pull the kettle from the stove -About thirty seconds off the boil, start your timer and quickly add 420g of water -At the one-minute mark gently stir the top crust of grounds three times to ensure all grounds are saturated and contributing to the brew -Empty the pre-heat water before placing your dripper on the carafe -At two minutes and thirty seconds, place your Clever Dripper on top of your carafe and begin the drawdown -The drawdown should take anywhere between one to one and a half minutes *your total brew time should be around three and a half to four minutes. -Remove your filter and place it in your compost -Pour yourself a cup of some damn fine coffee *If you don't have a kettle, use a pot and measuring cup but adjust the recipe to 20g coffee to 300g water. //None of these links are affiliate links.
