From Cleveland church ladies’ style and studying at Parsons in New York to establishing ready-to-wear at Bottega Veneta as their first design director in Italy, the Ohio-born designer Edward Buchanan retraces his incredible life in fashion so far. Based in Milan for over 20 years, Buchanan discusses his pragmatic approach to design, establishing the innovative knitwear label Sansovino 6, making Milan his home, and being written out of the fashion history books.
