In that moment God said to me… ‘Derek, you’re showing me the wrong kind of faith. Staying at this job, seeing it through, and keeping the golden handcuffs is playing it safe. You have to do the scariest thing you can possibly do, which is to leave this job with no plan, but trust in me that everything will work out’”. The next week I put in my notice and left. I trusted God had a bigger plan for me, and I knew it was time to go. But I had no idea what would come from it… This is where GovKidMethod was born.
