This channel was started because I found a lack of good content regarding portable generator repair and wanted to document some of the things I came across to help others dealing with similar issues. I found this Briggs and Stratton standby generator on Craigslist for only $150. The seller says he no longer needs it and it ran when last tested. It sounds too good to be true. Lets go through the machine and try it out. Generator Model: 040301A Engine Model: 319775-1116-E1 Circuit Breaker: 208789GS Engine Seal: 311551GS Oil Filter: 492932B A subscriber @jmtracmach is looking for detailed information on how to rewind his stator. Harbor Freight changed the recipe. The bottle previously stated "NON-CORROSIVE". Now it says "CORROSIVE", "do not user on Aluminum". It now damages most carburetors.
