Building a sink for my art studio

This week I built a sink unit for the new studio! It was a challenge at times, but I am SO pleased with how it turned out. Thank you as always for watching 😊 I've just finished renovating this barn to use as an art studio, and I needed a sink in there. I decided to try and copy a picture I found online and use an old upcycled butler sink to make it. I didn't have a plan or instructions, I just worked it out as I went along! I could see in the photo that the sink was on a table, and I had an old table the right size. I cut the legs shorter so that the sink would be the right height and then cut a hole in the table top for the sink waste to go through. Then I placed the table in the studio and built a frame for the units on either side of it. I used scrap wood from the farm wood pile, so all the timber was upcycled. The next day I covered the frames with boards and put hinges on the front pieces so that I could store things inside the units. This bit was a challenge and I was really tired by this point! The last thing I did was attach the sink waste pipe, I had already installed a drain under the floor before I laid the floorboards, so I connected it up to this and it worked! I don't have any taps installed yet, but I am really pleased with how it turned out!
