About

I repair neglected power equipment. This channel was started because I found a lack of good content regarding portable generator repair and wanted to document some of the things I came across to help others dealing with similar issues. These videos are detailed and long, but would rather leave the details in to help those who are learning. Do what I do at your own risk. Generator voltages are lethal. Small engines can cause serious injury. Gasoline is explosive and moving parts can cause serious injury. Always use power equipment outside. This is not an instructional video but meant for entertainment. I am not a trained small engine professional or certified in generator repair. Video Description

Briggs recently discontinued the rectifier and brush holder assembly for this generator and many others. This is the most common part to fail, and without a replacement your $1000 investment is now a 200lb paper weight. Lets build an alternative using parts that are still available. Harbor Freight changed the recipe. The bottle previously stated "NON-CORROSIVE". Now it says "CORROSIVE", "do not user on Aluminum". It now damages most carburetors. Recently I have been using Simple Green PRO HD with good results. #BriggsAndStratton #91825 #GeneratorRepair #Generator #SmallEngineRepair #SmallEngine #DIY #Fixed #Troubleshooting #HowTo Compatible with the following generator models: 030205, 030205-0, 030206, 030206-0, 030208, 030208-0, 030208-1, 030208-2, 030209, 030209-0, 030209-1, 030209-2, 030212, 030212-0, 030214, 030214-0, 030218, 030218-0, 030219, 030219-0, 030230, 030230-0, 030235, 030235, 030235-0, 030235-1, 030235-2, 030238, 030238-0, 030240, 030240-0, 030243, 030243-2, 030245, 030245-0, 030246, 030246-0, 030248, 030248, 030248-0, 030248-1, 030248-2, 030253, 030253-0, 1312-0, 580.326700, 580.326990, 580.327110, 580.327111, 580.327112, 580.327152, 580.327750, 580.329120, 580.329130, 580326700, 580326990, 580327110, 580327111, 580327112, 580327152, 580327750, 580329120, 580329130 91825, 91825GS, Alternator, Bridge Rectifier, Brushes, Diode, Discontinued, Fixed, Generator, Full Bridge Rectifier, How To, How-To, MOV, Metal Oxide Varistor, No Longer Available, No Output, No Power, Portable Generator Repair, Repair, Small Engine Repair, Small Engine, Troubleshooting, Voltage Regulator
