A 22-year-old college student and Air Force cadet of the year was found shot inside his off-campus Florida home in 2020. Alexander Bello-Ortiz came home from a morning of surfing and tended to projects in his backyard before he went inside to continue cleaning. Shortly after, a gunshot rang out inside the home, and one of his roommates, John Burlein, called 911. Alex later died at the hospital from a single gunshot wound. His family believes he was murdered, but investigators came to a different conclusion -- prompting his parents to launch their own investigation into his death.
