With only €250 (dress, shoes, and embroidery included), can I really transform a Zara piece into a masterpiece inspired by Schiaparelli? In this first episode of my new series, I’m taking you behind the scenes of what seems like an impossible haute couture embroidery challenge! We’ll see if it’s possible to recreate the opulence and three-dimensionality of couture embroidery with a limited budget and mostly “shop your stash” materials. In this Episode 1 – the prologue – I show you the beginning of this adventure: from Schiaparelli inspiration, to the online purchase of the Zara piece, all the way to hunting for materials in my atelier. It’s a journey through the creative process: analysis, planning, and a few surprises!
