Carving a beautiful handrail for Victorian stairs

Just throwing together a nice handrail for my 160 year old stairs. I mentioned in the video that it would originally have had a very basic handrail here, but this is just an assumption, none existed when we bought the house and when I stripped this wall back to the masonry I didnt see any evidence of fixings etc so it may well have not had any rail at all! There is a very basic handrail going into the cellar, so it seems strange to skimp on one for this staircase.
