Case IH AF 11 Harvesting Pinto Beans

My official review of the Case IH AF 11 I was able to run a prototype of the Case IH AF 11 for almost one full day of harvesting pinto beans. I would have been able to run it longer, but we got rain during the time I was able to operate it. I ran it with a MacDon FD 250 (50 foot header). Here are a few things that stood out to me: Twin rotors and massive sieve deck: I was blown away by how large the internal parts of the combine were. I had great confidence this machine was going to collect the grain. Straw spreader system: I was very impressed with how far the machine was able to spread pinto bean straw and that it was able to reach all the way across the swath. Grain tank: It was a huge grain tank & auger. I liked how I could see what percent full I was on a more accurate scale. Ex. 20-30-40% Engine & intake: The intake was located on top behind the grain tank. Dual rotary cleaning screens. It seemed like a great location to minimize dust. Engine bay was easy to access, and of course, it was massive. Pro 1200 screens: It was great to have dual pro 1200 screens. I could have GPS on one and combine info on the other. I was also surprised to see rotor gear speed & chopper speed integrated into the pro 1200, so I could switch them from the cab. Criticisms: Combine: It is a prototype and overall, I was impressed. The only combine related criticism I have is I was wondering if the shear bolt was big enough for the large size auger. Pinto beans are super hard on augers due to the dirt and weight they bear. I had trouble unloading a couple of times, but when I unloaded with one hopper auger it fixed that. Header: Not combine related, but I wish the header would have had an airbar. I didn't see much header loss where the beans were good, but It didn't do as good of a job where they were short. That's it! Overall amazing combine harvester and once these roll out on the market, they are going to be the king of combine harvesters in the USA!
