If you're looking for the best of Paris at Christmas then you're in the right place. From sipping on vin chaud to cosy markets and stunning illuminations, join me as we uncover the very best of the French capital during the festive season. We'll begin our time in the city by exploring Le Bon Marché, which is decorated like a Christmas village. Then we'll head to the Notre Dame Christmas market before heading inside one of the most historic cafés in Paris, Au Vieux Paris d'Arcole. We'll end our day at the illustrious Hôtel de Ville (town hall) which is known for its small artisan market and illuminations. The next day we'll head to the 15th arrondissement to see an ice skating rink before heading to explore the beautiful covered passages of Paris. After that it's time to see two of the grandest department stores in Paris, Galeries Lafayette and Printemps. Then it's just a short walk to see the lights of Place Vendôme before finishing the day at the Christmas Market of La Villette. Paris isn't the only place with Christmas festivities so we'll spend the morning of the next day at La Défense and its Christmas market before heading back into the city for dusk to enjoy the Christmas Market of Abbesses. Then it's a walk down towards the Seine where the Jardin des Tuileries hosts an annual Christmas market. After that a short walk across the river will take us to Saint Germain des Près' Christmas market and the lights of rue de Buci.
