In this video we will make a delicious classic red pesto sauce. This is the easiest recipe that you can make and it is simply delicious. Red Pesto can be used in many dishes like pasta, salads, soups, fish and many more. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Classic Red Pesto | Easiest Recipe ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ingredients: 1/2 clove of Garlic 80 gr / 2.8 oz Pine nuts (If you don`t have pine nuts substitute with walnuts) 250 gr / 8.8 oz Roasted Red Peppers 8-10 Sun Dried Tomatoes 2 tbs Extra Virgin Olive Oil 20 Basil Leaves (always use fresh) 70 gr / 2.5 oz Parmesan Salt Ground Pepper We start by crushing some garlic. We continue by crushing some pine nuts. We add a touch of extra virgin olive oil and a pinch of salt. When we get an almost creamy texture we proceed to slicing the sun dried tomatoes in smaller chunks. This helps us to crush them easier. We will add some roasted red peppers. If you roast them be sure to peel them. We crush it until we get a nice smooth consistency. We add the fresh basil. Be generous with it. A touch of ground black pepper and a good amount of grated Parmesan. We crush it further until we get the consistency we want and we are done. We made it the classic way with the pestle and mortar but you can use a food processor and it is done in seconds.
