In this video, I recreate the form factor and specs of Valve’s upcoming Steam Machine using used parts from eBay, a surprisingly capable ASRock DeskMeet X300, and a budget Radeon GPU I found on AliExpress that turned out to be a flashed RX 6600M — and shockingly, it actually works. We install SteamOS 3.9, test performance in games like Elden Ring, Cyberpunk 2077, Spider-Man 2, The Witcher 3, DOOM: The Dark Ages, Japanese Drift Master and more, and push this tiny PC to see how close it really comes to what Valve is building.
