Former CNN anchor Don Lemon was arrested on federal charges tied to a January 18, 2026 protest that disrupted a worship service at Cities Church in St. Paul. Prosecutors allege the incident violated the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (the FACE Act), a 1994 federal law that includes protections against obstructing access to places of worship, and also cite an 1871 civil-rights statute often described as “conspiracy against rights.” Other primary people arrested and charged in connection with the church protest include independent journalist Georgia Fort and activists Trahern Jeen Crews and Jamael Lydell Lundy.
