Crimson Desert is a large open-world action adventure RPG built around exploration, combat, quests, traversal, and immersive world systems. In this video, we break down the new 1.01.00 patch and go through the biggest changes that actually matter for players already deep into the game or thinking about jumping in now. This update adds 5 new mounts, refinement tokens, login rewards, faster loading for abyss travel and revival, more crafting and storage quality-of-life changes, better movement and horse controls, combat fixes, quest and UI improvements, and a solid round of graphics and performance work. We also talk about what feels better already, what still seems a little weird, and the HDR plus ray reconstruction flicker issue that still looks like it needs more attention. If you’ve been playing Crimson Desert already, this is one of the more meaningful patches so far. The devs are clearly moving fast, and a lot of the complaints people had early on are getting touched pretty quickly.
