David Lammy has been booed at a vigil outside the Manchester synagogue. The deputy prime minister was greeted with chants of “shame on you!” from the assembled mourners. Protesters heckled Lammy as he walked up to the podium to speak. “Go to Palestine — leave us alone”, protesters yelled. “My child’s school was closed today — you allowed this to happen,” another added. Lammy struggled to get through parts of his speech as he continued to be heckled.
