This perfect rustic appetizer combines an amazing blend of smokiness, savory, and creaminess for any event. These are yummy and delicious and can be made for any backyard event or a simple gathering. This appetizer is definitely a taste pleaser. Prep time 15-20 Min Cooking time 45 Min Total cook time 1 Hr. Author: Chef Rolo Recipe type: Appetizer Serves: 6-8 Guest 📌Ingredients 32 oz Philadelphia Cream Cheese 8 oz Pepper Jack Cheese 8 oz Mozzarella Cheese 2 Organic Jalapenos 2 Dilled Jalapeno Chips 15-20 Smoked Sausage Quarters (your choice) 1 Pack of Thick Large Bacon (approximately 12 slices per pack) Hot Barbecue Rub from Killer Hogs 15-20 Toothpicks 📌Instructions 1. Take out the Philadelphia cream cheese from the package and put into a bowl. 2. Grate fresh pepper jack and mozzarella cheese into shreds. 3. Finely dice the jalapenos. 4. In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, shredded pepper jack cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, and diced jalapenos. 5. Cut the smoked sausages into quarter size bites. 6. Cut the bacon strips into half (enough to wrap around the sausage quarters). 7. Take a piece of bacon and smoked sausage and roll them together making a well and stick a toothpick to keep the bacon attached around the sausage. 8. Fill the pig shot with the cheese batter. 9. Sprinkle a little bit of Killer Hogs Hot BBQ Rub (or rub of your choice) on top of the cheese batter. 10. Place the Pig Shots in the smoker at 250 degrees for about 30 to 45 minutes. 11. When the bacon appears to be done and cheese is spilling over, add the jalapeno chips on top and continue to cook for an additional 5-10 minutes, pull the Pig Shots out of the smoker. 12. Sprinkle some additional barbecue rub.
