DPWH Sec. Dizon, humarap sa sa ikalawang araw ng Bicam matapos hilingin na ibalik ang natapyas na pondo sa 2026 'ALAM PO NG BUONG PILIPINAS NA MATAGAL NANG OVERPRICED ANG PRESYO NG DPWH' Sa kaniyang pagharap sa ikalawang araw ng Bicameral Conference Committee para sa 2026 proposed budget ngayong araw, Dec. 14, 2025, nilinaw ni Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon na hindi totoo na binalik ng DPWH ang dating presyo ng overpriced na mga materyales at walang ibang proyekto na pinapabalik ang ahensiya. Ito ay matapos hilingin ng ahensiya sa Senado na ibalik ang natapyas na pondo dahil sa costing sa mga materyales at proyekto. Ang tanging hiling aniya ng DPWH ay ibalik ang natapyas na pondo upang magamit sa tamang implementasyon. Matatandaan na tinapyasan ng Senado ang panukalang 2026 budget ng DPWH mula P624.48 billion sa bersyon ng House of Representatives sa P570.48 billion. Samantala, titiyakin umano ng ahensiya na mahigpit na mamo-monitor ang budget ng Construction Materials Price Data (CMPD) sa pamamagitan ng bagong materials data issuance, ayon kay Dizon.
