After months of preparation on the East Coast, we’re packing the RV, loading up the trailer, fixing the final details, airing up the tires, and pointing the rig west toward the desert and our off-grid dream. From broken parts to last-minute repairs, from tools and memories to everything we own — it all gets packed into this journey across the lower United States. State by state, mile by mile, we make our way back to the desert Southwest where off-grid life is calling us home once again. Usually this trip takes four to five days… sometimes six. Sometimes it throws surprises at us. No matter how long it takes — the adventure continues.
