À Port-au-Prince, capitale d’Haïti, la survie est un combat quotidien. Dans cette ville où plus de 80 % des 3,5 millions d’habitants vivent avec moins de 2 dollars par jour, la pauvreté côtoie la violence extrême. À « Cité Soleil », le plus grand bidonville du pays, plus de 700 000 personnes tentent de vivre au milieu des guerres de gangs, des trafics et des enlèvements. Entre misère, peur et courage, les habitants de ce quartier font face chaque jour à une insécurité permanente.
