I was invited here by the Taiwan Tourism Bureau to cover parts of the island that I never knew existed, which led me down to the countryside to visit a few indigenous tribes. Did you know that the indigenous Taiwanese were the original settlers of the Philippines and many other Pacific Islands? I was fascinated to learn about this! Along the 4 day journey around Taiwan with Deanna, I found it fascinating to see the difference between rural life and city life, which became the concept of this story. We went to Taiwan's second-biggest city called Kaohsiung to uncover the differences between Taiwan’s rural areas and its bustling cities. I was mesmerized by the amazing temples and delicious food! Finally, we made our way to Taipei where I take you on a journey to understand the wacky (yet fun) culture and experience a night market - one of the singular best things about Taiwan.
