The event took place on December 27, 2024, at Cinema Roma, Asmara. During this unforgettable evening, young Eritrean artists, alongside the Kewakbti Rim Cultural Troupe, brought the spirit and voice of Yemane Barya back to life. Hearing heart-touching classics like 'Nay Meqabir Btsotey', 'Deki Asmera', 'Tslaley', 'Nafqot', 'Haye Teberaber', 'Merietey', 'Segenay', 'Chira Feres', 'Wedebat Adey', 'Felema Fkri', and 'Bnatsnet Wegiha Meriet' performed by the new generation was a vibrant experience that took everyone back in time. Additionally, the program featured: The launch of the "Zikri Kewakbti Sne-Tibeb Ertra" (Remembering Eritrean Art Stars) Volume 1 magazine, dedicated to Yemane Barya's memory. The premiere of a new tribute song, "Barya Hzbi, Barya Tibeb" (Barya of the People, Barya of Art), performed by Mussie Zekarias with lyrics by Efrem Habtesion. The presentation of the "Kokob Sne-Tibebegna" (Star Artist) emblem, prepared by the Zikri Kewakbti Committee, to Barya's family via Ambassador Zemede Tekle. This event was the culmination of a year of practice and dedication by the musicians and vocalists, with the stated goal of "Remembering stars while creating stars," according to the organizers.
