The Divine Comedy of Dante Alighieri comes to an end with Paradiso. Although arguably the least read of the three parts of the Comedy, it is just as fascinating and valuable as the others. As Dante makes his way through the heavenly spheres, he continues to encounter various figures with whom to have philosophical and theological discussions, and who serve as models of virtue (and occasionally of shortcomings), many of whom may not be familiar to a modern audience. And so, one last time, it is I who shall guide you through this final stretch and explain who these people are and why Dante placed them where he did.
