"I saw the wound that ended his life. I felt everything you would expect—shock, horror, and a level of heartache I didn’t even know existed," she said. Amid the sorrow, she shared a moment of tenderness. "In death, I could still see the man I love. I noticed the single gray hair on the side of his head, which I never told him about. Now he knows.
