Full coverage of CrossFit Event 8, "Big Cat," from the 2023 Rogue Invitational in Round Rock, Texas (Sunday, October 29). This includes the Women's division at 1:30 and the Men's division at 28:30. Even in ideal conditions, outracing the fittest athletes in the world through a gauntlet of box jumps, handtstand walks, and literal sprints would be a Herculean task. On the slick turf at a rain-soaked Dell Diamond, the Big Cat workout looked even more challenging. On the men's side, in particular, it led to some topsy turvy results, as two athletes in the lower half of the leaderboard (Victor Hoffer and Tudor Magda) found their form and left most of the podium contenders in their dust. It was a similar story for the women, as Danielle Brandon and Paige Powers put up strong showings amidst the ongoing battle between Toomey and Horvath, which is now in a 680-680 tie with one event to go.
