In a campaign-style speech Tuesday night, President Trump touted his administration's efforts to boost the U.S. economy, bring down the price of goods and increase the amount of money American workers receive in their paychecks. Trump spoke for roughly 90 minutes to a crowd of supporters at Mount Airy Casino Resort in Mt. Pocono, Pennsylvania, on a wide range of topics related to the economy, including no tax on tips or overtime, the cost of eggs and steel, the affordability "hoax" and inflation. Trump introduced Pennsylvanians to the stage who shared their stories on how they have benefitted from Trump's economic policies. During his remarks, Trump said that his chief of staff Susie Wiles encouraged him to start campaigning ahead of the 2026 midterm election next November. He also took time to talk about subjects unrelated to the economy, including: Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), former President Joe Biden, the deadly National Guard shooting in D.C., and more.
