I'll even show you the strategy to get higher than your competition in Google Maps. The first step is of course to go to google.com/business. This link is also in the description and in the comment section of this video. And then we click on this blue button 'Get started'. The first step is to NOT use your Gmail account when creating your Google Business account. Why not? It will cost you a lot of problems when verifying your Google Business Profile. It will make it a lot easier if you use your domain name and an email, connected to your own domain name. If you don't have that yet. Take a couple of minutes, go to https://wp.discount/domain/ that's my link, so I will get an affiliate commission, but you will get 80% discount plus a free domain. So go over here. Once you have created that email, we go over here and we are going to use 'Another account'. Then let's continue. Click over here on 'Create account' 'For my personal use'. Then fill in your first and last name and press on 'Next'. then fill in your birthday and your gender and press again on 'Next'. Then we are going to use your own email address. Very important. Press 'Next'. And then use the email address connected to your business domain and press on 'Next'. Enter in the code that Google sent to your email. Make sure to also chec the spam folders and press over here on 'Next'. Then create a really strong password and save it in your password manager. Then we need to confirm that we have a phone, so we are a person. Enter that code and press on 'next'. Press on 'Next' again. Then you can also use your phone number to receive video calls, messages and also adds. I would say "I'm going to skip this and you can decide later on". And then we press over here on 'Next'. Then let's choose it in 'One step' press 'Next'. Great, I all want that 'Accept all'. Scroll down again and press 'Confirm'. Scroll again down and press on 'I agree'. Welcome to Step Two: creating our Business Profile. Make sure - very important - to use the right Google account. It has to be connected like this email. Connect it to the domain we're going to use for our business. If you don't have this yet, make sure to go back to Step 1 and get your free domain with my discount code. Make sure to do that one. All right. First we are going to enter in a few business details to get started. And the first one is our business name. My legal name of this business is called Catsy.
