In today’s video, Grandfather heads alone to the lower part of the wild Zagros mountain river, carrying his traditional fishing nets. He throws several large nets into the cold river, but catches nothing at first — maybe because the fish are fewer in this season. Still, he never gives up. Grandfather opens his smaller net from the bag and casts it into the flowing water. This time, he catches a big yellow fish, and his happiness fills the quiet mountain valley. By the riverside, he lights a fire with dry wood, prepares hot tea, and grills the freshly caught fish over the flames. After enjoying his tea and grilled fish, he tries again with his larger net — and this time catches many fish.
