Zohram Mamdani, newly elected Mayor of New York City, is going to meet Trump at Oval Office in Washington D.C. US President Donald Trump announced the much anticipated meeting through his post on Truth Social. Meeting between the Democratic Mayor and the Republican President is scheduled on November 21. Trump called Mamdani ‘communist’ Mayor, one of the labels he faced since the beginning of his campaign. However, Mamdani refused to identified himself with ‘communist’ label, and called himself a ‘socialist’ during election campaigns. Trump even tried to influence the votes by his Truth Social post, hinting towards NYC funds cut if Mamdani wins. Nevertheless, Mamdani secured a comfortable victory beating the Republican candidate in the votes. In his victory speech Mamdani called out President Trump and famously said, “Turn the volume up”.
