Rohan, the Riddermark, is one of Gondor's closest allies in LotR. Today we look into their history. Why is their lifespan shorter compared to Dúnedain? What's going on with that white horse Shadowfax, that Gandalf rode? What's the story of the Helm Hammerhand, the Hornburg and Helm's Deep? And why do those warning beacons on the mountains exist? I try to answer all those questions. From the Eotheod to Eorlingas over the Hobbit and the actions of Thror, Thrain and Thorin to the beginning of Lord of the Rings I go through the history.
