One of the most mysterious peoples of Siberia is the Khanty. The Khanty are an indigenous Finno-Ugric people living in the north of Western Siberia in Russia, primarily in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug—Yugra. They are very hardworking and efficient. They live in harmony with nature. In summer, they prepare for winter, and in winter, for summer. They have no days off, because if you don't take care of yourself and your family, no one else will. They are primarily engaged in traditional hunting and fishing: men build shelters, lay hunting trails, hunt meat and fish, while women clothe their families, prepare food, and, of course, raise the children. Life at the camp never stops. The young family of Mikhail and Tatyana lives in a camp with their two charming daughters, Taya and Yulia, and leads a traditional lifestyle, herding reindeer and gathering berries and wild plants.
