Video Description

I want to help you build a process that not only helps you finish more music, but helps you learn more as well. If you don't know who I am or what I do, here's a playlist of my work: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLGT6TguagYft8Yj8cdFXc7K4D5eUmSWJy&si=2c0eZ6D023K7U8QA 01:14 - The Creative Audit First, it begins with auditing your current production process. What works? What doesn't work? You have to become aware of the way you create first, in order to build a process. 03:12 - Break It Down Once you address what isn't working in your current process, we need to break it down to the root of the problem. This is going to take reflection through a series of "why's?". 06:21 - Practice V.S. Play Most producers don't know how to tell the difference between what's practice, and what's creating. We need to separate the two so we don't bring the frustrations of learning into our work. 10:04 - Order Matters The order in which you do things matters. Start with a solid structure first so you have a foundation to build your basic elements on. Once you have that, add your magic. 13:21 - Make Your Time Count Be purposeful and set your intention before your creative and practice sessions. Have a set schedule, stay focused, and consistently work on your craft. It's not about the time we get, it's about what we do with the time we get. 17:23 - Remember, This is YOUR Process Don't think your process has to look like someone else's. Know what feels comfortable to you. You're the one behind the wheel, you're the first listener, this should all feel natural to you. If you need help building your process, I work with musicians and producers on this exact thing in the Music Production Bootcamp.
