Enable “Private Sharing” on the Shortcuts app and then “Allow Running Scripts” 4. Download and install this shortcut: https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/8677ca51ca3640aca83cee03e898aa80 5. Execute “Install WhisperAI M1” shortcut (also works on Intel computers) ==== Using Whisper on Intel Macs ==== 1. Make sure the file you want to transcribe does not contain space characters 2. Download and install this shortcut: English (medium model) - https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/40bb23765e75409783cf37cdf1d8c639 English (very fast) (Update: runs on M1!!!) - https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/5acf8be4a2f34c9ea382e4a0f1e983be 3. After you install it, just execute and choose the file you want to transcribe. The transcription files will appear in your downloads folder. Get in the virtual environment — Open terminal and type the following commands: cd whispersource venv/bin/activate 2. Execute Whisper - transcription time! whisper file_path.extension --model tiny.en --output_dir /folder_path/ 3. If you audio is not in English then use --language to specify the language. 4.
