Now I don’t know about you guys but I first got exposed to the trench coat when I was really young. I loved watching the Ninja turtles and I would see them rocking their trench coats as a disguise and when the real-life movie came out and saw Raphael rocking one, I put that thing on my santa list. It was difficult to find a child size trench coat back in those days, probably still is but now that I’m fully grown and can fit in one, I can now live my childhood fantasy. Now for those of you who are unfamiliar with the trench coat, it is a ¾ length coat that designed to protect your clothes from the rain. It’s stylish, it’s functional, it’s lightweight and it’s the perfect piece to wear when you are out commuting in an area that is cold and rainy. Now there are many ways to wear the trench coat and you guys know how I always do it on this channel, I’m going to cover a range of looks going from the most dressed up to casual. Let’s start this off suited first. So here I am out on a rainy day in downtown Atlanta rocking the pinstripe suit and as you can see my suit is protected by that trench coat and one thing I want to point out is that you do not want to wear a trench coat that is super fitted or else you won’t be able to layer it over a suit or thicker fabrics. Next outfit, were toning the formality down just a notch by going business casual. Here I’m rocking a knitted sports jacket with a button up shirt, and a pair of my favorite traveler jeans from banana republic. So for the next outfit, I decided to lose the sports jacket and just substitute it with the trench coat. Very clean and elegant look. Adds a level of sophistication of this trench coat.
