Wet molding leather is literally just that - you wet leather, usually untreated vegetable tanned leather, and mold it into different shapes. Once the leather has dried it becomes rigid and keeps the shape that you formed it into! Wet molding leather allows you to create card pockets and all sorts of luggage and cases without using lots of seams to create the dimensionality. This is a simple beginner guide to wet molding leather - you can get much, much more intricate and involved with the use of custom single and two-part molds as you get more comfortable with the skill :)
