Video Description

Three uses for AI in marketing: research, write and review. So many marketers use it to write. But today, we will use it to review, recommend, and audit. It’s another way to think about AI. Don’t just use AI to make things. You already have a lot of stuff. Use AI to make things better. This video shows a step-by-step framework for writing effective audit prompts. For the first time, we are showing our best practices for creating prompts rather than just sharing prompts we’ve already generated. This is our approach to prompt engineering. The key is to NOT use a simple, lazy prompt, and instead to include all three of these elements: 🔹 The persona or ideal client profile 🔹 The marketing asset your want to audit 🔹 A short list of best practices or success criteria for that type of asset. Here are jump links: 0:00 How people use AI (and what you can do instead) 1:24 Our example: Having AI audit a fake LinkedIn ad 1:48 The types of marketing assets AI can audit 2:17 The three elements of the best audit prompts 3:01 The audit prompt for a LinkedIn ad 4:43 The AI response and recommendations 6:27 Three ways to give AI your persona 9:21 Follow up prompts for better performance and next steps 10:03 A prompt for comparing two assets 11:30 The case for using AI for performance, not efficiency You can create these little audit prompts and use them to have AI review any aspect of your digital marketing. That includes public facing assets (blog posts, social media posts, email nurture sequences, landing pages) or even strategic, internal documents (marketing plans, style guides, sales decks) As the example in this video, I have ChatGPT audit a fake LinkedIn ad that I made. I know nothing about advertising, so it’s a perfect use case… because AI can help fill gaps in your skill set. Generative AI is a skills leveler. You are minutes away from developing your own high-performance audit prompts and getting AI input on any aspect of your marketing. As a bonus, we’re including follow up prompts.
