We start the morning at 71% after a few days of painfully slow 120V Level 1 charging, then hit a mix of Tesla Superchargers (with adapter), Mercedes / Alpitronic DC fast chargers, Applegreen Electric, BP Pulse, and finally Tesla Wall Connectors at our hotel. Along the way I share battery stats, pack temps, charging speeds, and efficiency (around 2 mi/kWh on a fully loaded truck), plus routing decisions with Apple Maps and A Better Routeplanner (ABRP). We test low-arrival SoC at a Tesla Supercharger in Wells, Maine, enjoy good amenities at the Mercedes / Alpitronic site in Hartford, CT, and then deal with some less-than-ideal hardware and layout at Apple Green and BP Pulse. We wrap the day after 684+ miles of driving, plug into paid Tesla destination charging at a SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Alexandria/Arlington, VA, and get ready for a much shorter day two back home to Charlotte.
