We found the perfect hidden spot in my basement, cut into the wall, and transformed an old storage room into a full-on indoor water park with a huge in-ground pool. To make it even crazier, we added a custom water slide (including a secret entrance slide), a poolside movie theater with a projector and screen, LED lighting, and a cave-themed build with sculpted rock walls and dinosaur fossils. We even set up a hidden gaming area so we could play games while the pool was filling up—because why not? Of course, nothing goes smoothly when you’re putting thousands of gallons of water inside a house… we had leaks to patch, freezing water to deal with, and a nonstop race to finish everything before my mom got home. I can’t believe we actually pulled this off, and you have to see what happened when my mom finally walked in and started hunting for us.
