I Spent $700 to Find the BEST Sweats/Joggers! [Lululemon, Alphalete, Nike, Outdoor Voices]

Additional details in description below: We've all been stuck at home all year and have been living in sweats/joggers leading me to pickup a lot of new pairs in the last 6 months. I've picked some of the most popular ones in the market to share my thoughts on in hopes that it helps you pick out your next pair. Included are the Outdoor Voices CloudKnit, the Lululemon ABC, the Alphalete Premium, and the Nike Tech Fleece Joggers. Starting with the Outdoor Voices CloudKnit. These have the softest and stretchiest material here by far. The polyester-spandex blend makes them super stretchy and very lightweight. They retain their shape well for how much they stretch which is always a good sign of a quality garment. I typically wear these sweatpants when I'm lounging around at home as they more slouchy compared to others in this video. Outdoor Voices definitely designed the CloudKnit Sweats to prioritize comfort over aesthetic. The fit is nice and tapered while forgoing the cuff typically found on a pair of joggers giving them a sleek and minimal look. The Outdoor Voices Cloudknit are also one of my favorite pants to travel in because of the breathable fabric. These are only available in charcoal, navy, and a light grey color way so your options are pretty limited but they're worth it for their comfort. Nike made joggers mainstream back in 2013. with the launch of the Tech Fleece Joggers. These were seen on countless celebrities and athletes back in their peak and really made their mark in the hypebeast world making them super hard to get at one point. They were my first pair of joggers and I've worn them for years now. The Nike Tech Joggers used to be the gold standard but other brands have caught up since then. Going into the design, the most iconic feature was the large black pocket stripe which reveals possibly the largest pocket I've ever seen. The Nike Tech Fleece Joggers took inspiration from wetsuits so they wear pretty warm, especially with the tech fleece lining. I wore these in the middle of a New York winter and they were plenty warm for me. They fit nice and snug with an aggressive taper which is perfect for streetwear looks or hype shoes. The quality isn't the best, and the fabric tends to fray and rip in heavy use areas. I love how awesome the Nike Tech Fleece Joggers look with a nice pair of sneakers which explains why I have three. I think there are better quality options around at that price point, but the design of these are definitely iconic. Moving along to the Alphalete Premium joggers, I had seen these all over Youtube and Instagram and decided to pull the trigger to see what the hype was about. Alphalete is a company owned by fitness Youtuber Christian Guzman. Right off the bat, the nylon spandex blend were cool to the touch and almost as stretchy as the Outdoor Voices. Cloudknits. I primarily wear these to workout in which is what Alphalete made them for. The design of them are fairly simple with minimal branding all over. The Alphalete Premium Joggers have a few reliability and quality issues. The fabric and fit are very nice but if Alphalete could iron out the minor issues they would be a super good pair. Lastly, lets talk about the Lululemon ABC Joggers. A.B.C. stands for Anti-Ball Crushing which they do by adding an extra panel near the crotch. They feel really comfortable when you have them on. The panelling is limited to the rear and around the pocket regions and don't make these look overly technical. The Lululemon ABC joggers are the most structured of the bunch. Which makes them ideal for more put together fits. These are my go-to's for anytime I want to run some errands or go out and about. They're about as dressed up as sweats can look and look right at home with a pair of Common Projects and a well fitting tee. The fit and finish are what you would expect from Lululemon and do not disappoint at all. The only drawback to these is that they aren't ideal for working out in. Lululemon's customer service is amongst the best so if you have any issues, they'll handle it. All in all, sweatpants and joggers are here to stay in men's fashion and have become a staple.
